Groups

Process groups can be a good adjunct to therapy.  When an individual reaches a plateau with individual therapy, participation in a process group or a support group can offer additional support to the individual while also helping the person to continue to move and grow.

The groups that are facilitated by JCC are all therapeutic, time limited, closed groups.  If you are interested in participating in one of the groups offered, please contact our office.  An appointment will be set up for a screening intake interview to assess appropriateness and readiness to participate.  All of these groups are for adults (18 and older) and are facilitated by two mental health professionals. Groups Offered: Trauma - This group is designed for individuals who have experienced a traumatic event in their life and may also be experiencing symptoms of PTSD. Bereavement - This group is designed for individuals who have experienced a loss and are stuck in their grief process.

All of the groups meet on a weekly basis unless otherwise stated during your intake assessment.  When a group has filled up all others will be placed on a waiting list until the next group starts. All groups are six to eight weeks in duration. Children are not permitted in the groups and child care is not provided onsite.  If you are interesting in participating in a group, contact the office to schedule an intake screening.
